Clout/SA shines at CTFW

Cape Town Furniture Week (CTFW) took place from Wednesday 14 February to Saturday 17 February 2024 and Clout/SA, Nando’s Creativity design partner (@clout_sadesign), showcased a spectacular hotel room setup in their exhibition stand. The stand, curated by Nando’s Design Programme creative director Tracy Lynch (@tracyleeloves), scooped several awards.

Collaborating with various designers and artists, Clout/SA transformed the Sisonke Gallery at Heritage Hotel in Cape Town CBD into a staged hotel room, featuring local design items, furniture and artworks commissioned for the Spier Collection viaHouse Union Block(HUB).

The exhibition invited visitors to take a peek at our South African heritage, reimagined. It was awarded runner-up at CTFW for best stand, while David Krynauw (@davidkrynauwdesign) won best furniture design for the Hart Ruk Collection featured and Mash.T @mashtdesignstudiowas runner-up for the stunning new woven lights.

Other partners whose work was showcased in the exhibition or who were involved in CTFW include Cara Saven Wall Design (@carasavenwalldesign), the Keiskamma Trust (@keiskammatrustsa), 2023 Nando’s Hot Young Designer winners, Studio Kalki (@studio.kalki), Wiid Design (@wiid_design), Ashanti Design (@ashantidesign), Modern Gesture (@modern_gesture), Rebul Crating Solutions (@rebulsa), Spier Wine Farm (@spierwinefarm), and 1971 (@nineteenseventy).
